Then we are looking for you Our growing Sustainable Finance practice is looking for individuals with climate-aligned finance experience; an integral component of our ability to meet client demand and deliver differentiated services to our clients. Working within Sustainable Finance (a practice that operates as part of Deloitte's ESG Advisory practice, within Risk Advisory service line), this role will provide additional depth to complement our sustainability specialists in addition to bringing additional breadth to our capabilities. Your role As a Manager within Sustainable Finance, you will have responsibility for: Leveraging your in-depth knowledge of the financial services (FS) climate aligned finance landscape to act as a trusted and credible advisor to client stakeholders. A dvising both internal and external stakeholders on sustainable and climate-aligned finance, including: transition planning; portfolio emissions measurement; science-based targets (SBTi) for financials; sectoral pathways; and sustainable taxonomies. Delivering exceptional client service across our suite of sustainable finance propositions and offerings relating to climate-aligned finance. Holding and continuing to develop fluent knowledge of climate-aligned and sustainable finance practices, market developments, regulatory requirements and the competitive landscape. Acting in the capacity of ‘engagement manager’, taking ownership for aspects of engagement pursuit and delivery from pitching, scoping, programme and team selection through to delivery, risk and quality management and budgetary control. Providing leadership and acting as a role model to junior team members and associate resources. Your professional experience To qualify for the role you must have: E xtensive experience within related disciplines Applied experience with key market standards and guidance, including (but not limited to): Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi); Portfolio Carbon Accounting for Financials (PCAF); Paris Agreement Capital Transition Assessment (PACTA); Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ); and the EU Taxonomy. Experience in professional services / consultancy in an ‘engagement manager’ capacity. Evidence of operating at a Manager level with strong industry understanding of financial services, climate-aligned and sustainable finance. Experience working with financial services on one or all of: climate strategies and transition planning; climate portfolio measurement; climate scenario analysis; green finance products; due diligence and stewardship on climate change; and climate-related financial disclosure. Understanding of related directives and regulations i.e. Article 8 of the Taxonomy, Green Asset Ratio (GAR), Transition Plan Taskforce, TCFD, TNFD, SBTi Excellent written and oral business communication skills Evidence of client networking and delivery success A high aptitude for identifying, establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and team members.
