Job Description: Job Title: Valuations Specialist Location: London Corporate Title: Vice President Valuation Control (VC) is a centralised function of over 200 plus professionals within Market and Valuation Risk Management, as such you will be responsible for the independent valuation of balance sheet positions predominantly across the Investment and Corporate Bank. Your key responsibilities Review and approval of Model Fair Value Adjustment methodologies developed by the Front Office in line with agreed standards. Ensuring adherence to, and supporting the maintenance of key governance documentation such as the Global VC Policy and other Valuation related policies Supporting the global Valuation Methodologies team in executing their mandate Focus on the development and enhancement of Independent Price Verification (IPV) methodologies for all asset-classes and to provide technical support to the IPV production teams based in Mumbai, Singapore, London, and New York Managing the production of regular Management Information, as required Attend and contribute to key internal governance forums including, the VC Oversight Committee, and external regulatory forums Your skills and experience Excellent technical understanding of complex structured products and the different models used for Valuation Excellent understanding of Asset/Derivative Valuation Models—should be able to understand their workings intuitively and be able to communicate with Quants on technical issues Understanding of complexities associated with market data and lack of liquidity, such as reliance on proxies Experience in a wide range of Rates, Foreign Exchange products, Credit, and hybrid products from a valuations perspective Clear understanding and working experience in the concepts of fair value and valuation uncertainty How we’ll support you Training and development to help you excel in your career Flexible working to assist you balance your personal priorities Coaching and support from experts in your team A culture of continuous learning to aid progression A range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your needs About us and our teams Deutsche Bank is the leading German bank with strong European roots and a global network.
