Working within Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Advisory Service (a practice that operates as part of Deloitte's Risk Advisory service line), this role will provide additional depth to complement our ESG specialists in addition to bringing additional breadth to our capabilities. Your role We support a wide range of UK and global clients on their most pressing sustainability challenges and opportunities through a spectrum of offerings ranging from strategy design to independent assurance. As a Manager within this service area, you will have responsibility for: Supporting clients to understand and manage their ESG impact across their value chain; Supporting clients to set targets and commitments to improve their ESG performance across their supply chain Supporting clients to build an ethical value chain strategy, roadmap and implementation plan, enabling clients to understand the potential opportunities and interventions, their impacts, and complexities relating to feasibility Supporting clients to manage and report their ESG performance across their value chain (supported by software platforms) Identifying segments of our clients supply chain that have the highest ESG risk exposure and design due diligence procedures to manage support risk management Bringing the latest knowledge and industry experience into our training and capacity building programmes helping organisations create and deliver internal and supplier sustainability training. Using your in-depth knowledge of ESG to enable you to act in the capacity of trusted advisor for senior client stakeholders; Holding and continuing to develop fluent knowledge of ESG risk and impact within the value chain, and the latest developments in ESG; Providing leadership and mentoring to junior team members and associate resources. Your professional experience To qualify for the role, you will ideally have: Expertise in human rights and modern slavery, and an evidenced desire to learn more Experience designing and implementing ethical value chain strategy and frameworks, including human rights/modern slavery, in organisations Experience conducting risk assessments to identify key ESG impacts across an organisation’s value chain Experience developing and implementing due diligence procedures to support business demonstrate end-to-end sustainability across their value chain Experience managing others and supporting/mentoring team members. Understanding of the ESG policy and regulatory landscape as well as wider ESG reporting and disclosure requirements Excellent written and oral business communication skills Excellent data analysis and visualisation skills, comfortable working with large datasets, both in Excel and beyond Demonstrated, end-to-end project/program management experience including overseeing a project’s conception and initiation, the planning process, project execution, performance/monitoring, and project close A high aptitude for identifying, establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
